And then the food gods looked down with vengeful fury and exclaimed ‘There will be nowhere at all open for you to buy food after the show.. except McDonalds..’. We drove around desperately searching and there were really no options. Even Ali Baba’s kebabs that had a fluro sign saying ‘open 24hrs on weekends’ was closed. We asked an old guy in the car next to us at the traffic lights if he knew of anywhere, and all he had to suggest was the bleedingly obvious, last, dirty, option… McDonalds. So, regretably i broke a vow that has been in force for a good 3 years now, and i ate from there. And it was everything i feared it would be.
So i guess i spoke too soon. After such a good run on the done front we were brutatally punished.. and in our nation’s capital of all places. Bah…
Anyway, we’re on the road home now. Listening to David Cross’s hilarious stand up routine on the stereo. Looking forward to the game tonight. I’ll be a bit torn, but would love to see Australia in through. We’ll see..
