The barton highway just spat us onto the hume and that means our tuckerburgers are at close range. In less than an hour we’ll be having lunch at our favourite little spot on this drive, the famous dog on the tuckerbox, where the service is surly and the burgers are great.
We spent last night in an unseasonably warm canberra with an early show at toast. Thanks to everyone who came down and shared the evening with us. We had a grand old evening talking about corporate rowing competitions and late night lock-ins in brisbane with new friends. It was a far more civilised affair than our previous trip when we encountered the fearsome threesome of turbo, emily jane jones and henry…but that’s a story for another day or a chapter for the book, whichever comes first. to say we have unfinished business with the trio would be an understatement as, much to our dismay, only turbo showed up last night and due to the licensing laws standing between us, couldn’t begin the much anticipated sequel.
Until next time thanks again to the good folk of canberra and the newly settled out of towners. K
