goodbye to the great lakes
Monday April 12 2004
this is our last morning here in grand rapids before we cast ourselves out into the world again. recharged and ready to take on anything… well maybe not quite that excitable but these last few days have been a welcome change from the sleepless nights and smokey bars. instead of that we’ve had easter egg hunts with mike’s kids and lots of sleep. they are off to school now as spring break is over and the house is eerily quiet. even the dog hasn’t said a word all morning. we only have one thing left to do before we leave town and that is stop by marge’s donut den and pick up a t-shirt so we too can be just like the cool kids back home. we are off to indianapolis this morning for our last show with the strugglers and burd early. it’s been great travelling with those fellas and having safety in numbers. some of the more difficult shows last week were made a lot easier by the fact that we were all in it together. but they are heading west as we head east so the fairytale has to end and that end is this evening. anyway, there is not much more to report so i’ll say bye for now. k
