what next... ?

here we are in crazy ol’ madrid where the sun is shining but its freezing cold. has been a pretty full on week, i think at least. it�s all a bit hazy as i wasn�t feeling the best in paris and belgium. as it turns out i�ve had pneumonia which would explain the evil cough and constant fevers. so madrid for me has been the inside of a hotel room waiting for my 8 hourly excitment of taking pills and potions to cure my disease. i�ve come very close to loosing my mind through boredom and due to the constant repetetion of the only 2 english speaking chanels. BBC world are shameless in so many ways, and i swear i�ve heard about the japan/usa steel tariff, and the IAEA iran business about 50 times in the past 2 days. and euro sport aren�t much better. i found myself quite engrossed in the women�s weightlifting championship that was being held in vancouver, but due to my fragile physical and emotional state i was not well equipped to deal with the heartbreak of a failed attempt. it was still better than BBC world until they started repeating snooker games. i hate sport and sports commentary at the best of times, but when you know what is going to happen next it is simply mind bending. but today i broke doctors orders and went out to do my washing. last week we went way beyond the last pair of clean socks, so i wasn�t going to allow that to happen again. thankfully we are pretty familiar with madrid so managed to find the same laundromat we used last time. i do like some aspects of this city, but generally i find it a pretty heavy and scarey place to be. our introduction wasn�t the best this time as it took us over 3 hours to find a parking spot. we did find one after abut 2, but then someone was trying to break in after aboout 2 minutes. crazy. but looking forward to playing again and hopefully the shows here will be good. im feeling a bit better than i have for a while, and although my current lifestyle is very un-rock�n�roll due to this damn pneumonia, it will hopefully put me back on track by the time we get to italy. hasta luego!
