continuing in the theme of firsts, this is one of the first digital photos i ever took… with my DV camera in madrid back near the turn of the century
well… this is a bit exciting! i hear that half the world is blogging these days, so i guess we best get on board.
it’s so great to have this new site up and running. it’s hard to belive that 10 years ago barely any of us had an email address let alone a website. and now our lives revolve around the internet, and i’m just waiting for the day that this website is able cook me breakfast as well! but seriously, i really hope that folks get into the features of the new site - like the mix tape where you can queue up a bunch of our songs and those of our friends to stream down the line for your listening pleasure, or the image galleries where we’ll have dedicated space for the many visual artists that we have worked with to display their ‘non-sodastream related’ artworks. and of course this space where we’ll be putting a little bit more of our selves on the line (no pun intended), both to keep you logging into the page to see what we are ranting about next, and also perhaps to give you a bit more insight into where our music is coming from.
Pete wants you to visit
- omit needless words
- the blog of our good friend patrick who is one of the creators of this very website. many quality rants herewith.
- last fm
- this is a great way to find out about music, and is what music sharing should really be all about
- office space
- if you have ever worked in an office cubicle, then this is a movie you must see... one of my favourites of all time with gold quotes a-plenty.
- the webshite
- this is some scary evidence of how manufactured commercial rock music is. it streams two nickelback songs thorugh each speaker at the same time and you guessed it... they are the same. the mind boggles....
- found magazine
- positively one of my most favourite mags ever. it's like another world, and feels somehow wrong, but so good at the same time!! try and get hold of a physical copy if you can - it's worth it.
