well, the record has been out one week now here, and what a long week it has been! we are really busy at the moment having rehearsals with all of the musicians who will play with us at the melbourne launch, and also getting ready to do a film clip.
there was a party the other night at my ‘house’ (i live in a room out the back of a cafe, so it’s not really a house as such) which was fun, as evidenced by the picture above. i’m sure it wasn’t the first party in world history where this happened, but it was a first for so worth a mention… we passed around a pad of paper on which everyone wrote down a track to download and cue up on the iPod. needless to say, it ended up like pretty much any 80’s ‘party mix’ CD, but it was an enjoyable exercise. here’s how the tracklist turned out….

This is a picture of the MCG lighting up the city sky alien green. Freaky!
So the album is out today. Thanks to everyone that has ordered copies through the site. It all goes toward getting us on the road and to a pub near you later this year.

Here we are at the opening night of rachael’s new painting exhibition. She did the painting which is on the cover of A Minor Revival. The new work looks amazing. Check out www.seventhgallery.org , and we will have some more of her work up in the ‘friends and links’ of the site.

9.21am So i’m on my way to my job.. For the last time! I handed in my resignation 2 weeks ago, and today it is realised. It’s kinda hard to believe, but very exciting. We’ve got a big year ahead with the album and stuff, so i’m glad i’m making the time for it. I just hope the money starts falling out of the sky :-)
it’s funny.. I put on my headphones this morning and the first words bonnie prince billy was singing to me were ‘… you do what you want, and i will do what i want, cause i’m now free, master and everyone, servant of all and servant to none’. Bring on 5.30pm.

Boy.. Winter has hit this town hard now. It’s one of those weeks where you did out your heaviest jacket and find what strange thing you left in pocket 9 months ago. It makes me think of our friends in the northern hemisphere and and wonder what summer in europe must be like. Somehow we’ve avoided it all these years.
Hey, this is my first entry from my mobile phone. Crazy huh. I feel like Marty McFly!

this is some scary evidence of how manufactured commercial rock music is. it streams two nickelback songs thorugh each speaker at the same time and you guessed it... they are the same. the mind boggles....

positively one of my most favourite mags ever. it's like another world, and feels somehow wrong, but so good at the same time!! try and get hold of a physical copy if you can - it's worth it.
