i was captured by karl’s heartbreakingly fragile tenor voice. there was so emotion in the songs. and then there was pete’s incredible bass playing and deep voice offsetting karl’s… my heart swelled. i’m sure i’m sounding very sentimental, but the show really left me with a loving feeling. i even felt elliott smith’s presence at the show. (and that’s how i found sodastream really).

i happened upon sodastream through a person i only knew through the elliott smith messageboard, sweetaddy, at the time. she was so excited by their music. she started a thread about them and shared their music with me. her enthusiasm prompted me to check out the closest gig to where i lived. and subsequently i bought several copies of ‘a minor revival’ to share with as many people as i could afford…
