Six years after their last performance and a sweet sixteen since their first show back in 1997, Sodastream come together for a special weekend at the Northcote Social Club. Playing songs from their four studio albums along with a few picks from assorted EPs and singles, the band hit the stage on the 2nd and 3rd of March.
It’s been a while since they parted ways in 2007, but it’s been anything but a holiday. Karl launched Lee Memorial and then went on to make a solo record. Pete joined forces with Khancoban and recorded an acclaimed debut album with Luluc, but it wasn’t until 2011, when Pete and Karl teamed up once more in Lee Memorial that conversation turned to a possible Sodastream revival.
So with an unfinished album needing attention, a batch of new songs on the boil and the Northcote stage beckoning, the boys are looking forward to a busy 2013.
